I would also like to express my admiration to the families of those WHO WENT BACK into danger to try and save people and to render aid. They are HERO's and we should all be proud that these people are like us, and we are like them, Americans to the last moment. No longer will the world view us as petty, fat and lazy.

By Matt Barneveld on Sunday, September 16, 2001 - 04:36 am:

Message from Aus.
Last night I watched a replay of the 2000 Olympic opening ceremony here in Aus, it's 12 mths since that event began with an incredible air of hope for peace & unity. How poignant it was seeing the athletes of the world covered in a white canvas with the symbol of a dove & olive branch projected on it.
Following the attack last week, it can all seem so hopeless. Watching the rescue efforts & seeing the response from all civil people around the world over the past week though, I hope we can agian find symbols for that "peace & unity" we all strive for.
My thoughts are with all the victims & those affected, particularly the emergency workers (as an emergency worker myself), may you find some resolve in this shocking tragedy.

By Teresa on Sunday, September 16, 2001 - 04:51 am:

As I watched the tragedy, I cried for those who have been hurt by the hatred of others. My heart goes out to all of you who have suffered or
lost someone in these tragic events. May you find peace in your hearts and strength to go on. I pray for our leader and the leaders of the world, that they might do what is right, so that no one else will ever have to deal with this again.

For all of those who are helping with the search--firefighters, police, military, and volunteers--I offer a prayer that you will have strength to deal with whatever comes your way. Thank you for caring for others and I pray that you may return safely to your families.

Thank you to all of our family from around the world who have expressed their sadness and thoughts to us. I also pray that you may find peace and know that we in America appreciate all you've said. Continue to pray for us and for those who are waiting and hoping for word of their loved ones.

God bless America, my friends from all countries, and everyone that works for peace so that our world can be safe for all.
Love to all

Also another thanks to all the volunteers who are willing to lend a hand.

I feel very hurt and angered by this tragedy but you will prevail and those responsible will be dealt with and brought to justice.

I would like all of the people in the US to know that the people of Australia are thinking and praying for all of you.

I am trying to understand what is happening to your hearts and minds. It is a hard thing to come to terms with, such a great loss. So much change to your worlds.

As you may already know we here in Australia have been in shock and mourning right along with you. My father woke me in the midddle of the night to let me know what had happened to you. Many other Australians did the same.

There are many of our fellow Australians that live and work there. And those of US origan that are wih us now, here in Australia. And with the internet, this world is very small place. I feel that we are just like neibours. What happens to you affecs us all.

I wish there was a way that I could help you all. But all I am able to do is to send this e-mail. Along with my prays and those of my family and fellow Ausralians.

To say to you all that should you come our way, we will welcome you and make your stay a happy one. If we can. As we have always done.

May some peace and love come in to all of your lives.

On Tuesday, September 18, I ask everyone to plant a seedling. It will be a sign of the rebirth of America. As each year passes we will see the strong growth of America. The care we give during the growth of this seedling, is the same we should give to our fellow Americans. We do not care what brand the tree is, all that matters is we nuture it & allow it to reach unlimited heights . Do the same with your fellow American.

To New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania...to all the people who have been touched by this most horrible, horrible tragedy. I want you to know that the people of Florida have you in their prayers and thoughts on a daily basis.

I teach at Solid Rock Christain School in Mount Dora, Florida...and when the Director came into my room three times to tell me of the horrible incident that happened..my heart sank and I could not actually believe that it had happened...I had to tell the children something...but did not want to go into great detail....because how could I explain something..that I could not quite comprehend. Very hard task. I was thankful we were studing the proverbs...and we were studing the "The Wicked Person"....I had that to fall on and it seemed to help some...My students were very touched by what happened to you...and we stopped and prayed right then...we pray every morning for you during our prayer time and I have suggested to them that if they have free time between studies..instead of talking they need to keep you all in prayer. One of my students wanted us to make cards...so we are going to send New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania some cards or one big card....I would like to know where to send them. The students and myself would very much like to do this as I feel it would be a healing process for the children and for myself as well....this has really shaken the very foundation of our faith...but we know we can not give up..for to do that would mean these "Cowards" would have won....and I am by no means a quiter and neither are my Students.

Remember, all you emergency people, and clean up crew, volunteers, you are the real heros as well as the people on the planes who lost their lives trying to stop the men from killing more people...My deepest, sincere appreciation goes out to each of you and I pray that God will protect, give strength, courage, and compassion to those in need when called upon. I mostly pray that God will give you peace of mind as well...Because you have to be right in the midst of it and the things you must see have to be overwhelming. I pray for your welfare and your most valuable resourse..your spirit and faith......Keep up the great job.....

remember you are our heros.....

with Love

Anyone that can help me with an addresses to send the cards my students have made...I would appreciate it very much....

God Bless each of you and everyone involved...

The lives of Americans and those who believe in freedom and democracy - has been altered forever by an act so horrid, so unimaginable, I lack the words to describe it. Watching the coverage day after day, I see the pain and suffering of those not only directly affected by this tragedy, but by everyone in the United States and the rest of the World. America, you have shown the world your strength, your bravery and your tremendous compassion for your fellow countrymen who are mourning the loss of loved ones and friends. Remember - you are not in this alone, this will become a worldwide struggle to end these vicious acts, and have no doubt, we will be victorious.
God Bless everyone, and know that all of us in Canada are all thinking of you and praying for you.

The great bald eagle that soars high and proud over our great nation shead many tears for the lives lost on the tragic day of September 11.
But now the bald eagle and many of its patrons soar high to overcome what has happened. As we all pull together in this great time of need.
For it does not matter what color skin you have, or what type of religion you might be, We all stand strong and come together as one. One great nation with nothing but pride and honor.
The pride and honor that some didn't know they had. It is you that makes this country what it is. It is ou that helps others in the time of need. As we pull together and stand beside one another, let's be proud of who we are, and stand up for our rights of keeping our country free.
For it is freedom that makes us strong and united. And it is freedom that makes us stand together as one .
If you or someone you know is helping directly or indirectly with the matter at hand.
I'd like to thank you.

As I watched the horrific tragedy on my television, Tuesday morning in Canada, I was struck with a pain that cannot be described. As I continued to watch the news however, the pain slowly transformed into something that was beautiful. People, not just Americans, pulling together in a time of need and supporting one another. The tears that now flow are not of sadness, but of happiness. I believe there was a purpose in this tragic event...there are plenty of good people on this earth, but there were not enough shining stars in the sky or angels in the heaven above. May all the victims now rest in peace.

It took seven to create the world, we now ask you to join us in spending the next seven days recreating it.

Wherever you are, join us for the next seven days FEELING this new world and praying it into existence. Spend ten minutes in silence each night knowing that we are creating a new world based upon the laws of compassion and peace.

A LETTER FROM NEALE DONALD WALSCH, JAMES REDFIELD, JAMES TWYMAN AND DOREEN VIRTUE

11 September 2001

Dear Friends Around The World,

The events of this day cause every thinking person to stop their daily lives, whatever is going on in them, and to ponder deeply the larger questions of life. We search again for not only the meaning of life, but the purpose of our
individual and collective experience as we have created it - and we look earnestly for ways in which we might recreate ourselves anew as a human
species, so that we will never treat each other this way again.

The hour has come for us to demonstrate at the highest level our most extraordinary thought about Who We Really Are.

There are two possible responses to what has occurred today. The first comes from love, the second from fear.

If we come from fear we may panic and do things-as individuals and as nations-that could only cause further damage. If we come from love we will find refuge and strength, even as we provide it to others.

This is the moment of your ministry. This is the time of teaching. What you teach at this time, through your every word and action right now, will remain as indelible lessons in the hearts and minds of those whose lives you touch, both now, and for years to come.

We will set the course for tomorrow, today. At this hour. In this moment.

Let us seek not to pinpoint blame, but to pinpoint cause.

Unless we take this time to look at the cause of our experience, we will never remove ourselves from the experiences it creates. Instead, we will
forever live in fear of retribution from those within the human family who feel aggrieved, and, likewise, seek retribution from them.

To us the reasons are clear. We have not learned the most basic human lessons. We have not remembered the most basic human truths. We have
not understood the most basic spiritual wisdom. In short, we have not been listening to God, and because we have not, we watch ourselves do ungodly
things.

The message we hear from all sources of truth is clear: We are all one.

That is a message the human race has largely ignored. Forgetting this truth is the only cause of hatred and war, and the way to remember is simple:

Love, this and every moment.

If we could love even those who have attacked us, and seek to understand why they have done so, what then would be our response? Yet if we meet
negativity with negativity, rage with rage, attack with attack, what then will be the outcome?

These are the questions that are placed before the human race today. They are questions that we have failed to answer for thousands of years. Failure to answer them now could eliminate the need to answer them at all.

If we want the beauty of the world that we have co-created to be experienced by our children and our children's children, we will have to become spiritual activists right here, right now, and cause that to happen.

We must choose to be at cause in the matter.

So, talk with God today. Ask God for help, for counsel and advice, for insight and for strength and for inner peace and for deep wisdom. Ask God
on this day to show us how to show up in the world in a way that will cause the world itself to change. And join all those people around the world who are praying right now, adding your Light to the Light that dispells all fear.

That is the challenge that is placed before every thinking person today.

Today the human soul asks the question: What can I do to preserve the beauty and the wonder of our world and to eliminate the anger and hatred - and the disparity that inevitably causes it - in that part of the world which I touch?

Please seek to answer that question today, with all the magnificence that is You.

What can you do TODAY...this very moment?

A central teaching in most spiritual traditions is: What you wish to experience, provide for another.

Look to see, now, what it is you wish to experience - in your own life, and in the world. Then see if there is another for whom you may be the source of that.

If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another.

If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they are safe.

If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand.

If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another.

Those others are waiting for you now. They are looking to you for guidance, for help, for courage, for strength, for understanding, and for assurance at this hour. Most of all, they are looking to you for love.

We love you, and we send you our deepest thoughts of peace.

I spent a yearin the U.S. as an exchange student 17 years ago, and I learnd that different cultures can understand each other.

I still cannot hear from some of my friends in New York, and when I think of those who are missing, and of families of the victims, I feel strong anger against those who used the coward way of terror.

I would like to send my love to the victims and to the families and friends of the victims. And Plese remember, everybody there in the U.S., you are not alone.

Although we are many miles away from you all,
we feel your grief. Although our lives seem untouched by the events on that tragic day, we are at one with you in your pain. We are all united in spirit.......and we will overcome.
Lest we forget.

For all the families of the terror that struck America on that fateful tuesday morning...our prayers and condolences are with you all. God Speed. "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is my life's refuge; of whom should I be afraid? When evildoers come at me to devour my flesh, My foes and enemies fall. Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear; Though war be waged upon me, even then will i trust." PSALM 27.
