I was shocked at reading Bin Laden 1996 declaration of a HOLY WAR against the Western world. I consider myself as a politically moderate and tolerant person but I'm now afraid I'm changing my point of view. I am wondering if all our efforts in Italy in accepting and making Islamic immigrants feel at home here were all pointless and useless. This inhumane attack has also crumbled my belief that dialogue among cultures and religion is possible: i think that only a great positive event such as a new bend in the Middle Eastern situation can give new hope for peace. A big hug to all the American people reading this message- I'm speechless in front of this tragedy, God bless you

One of the addresses for sending clothing etc for the rescue workers is NY City Offices
c/o Search and Response
61 Chambers Street
New York, NY 10007
Please mark packages clearly with contents.

I might add that there is a need for veterinary supplies for the search dogs. Vet wrap, eye and ear washes, and boots would all be appreciated, although I understand from another list that some boots are being donated by a canine supply house. Other suggestions bag balm or other soothing type veterinary lotions as the dogs paws are becoming raw from working in the rubble and high protein food.

My thought are with every one in New York and D.C. I send all my love, hope and prayer for all. I can't give blood because I am too petite, so I give tears. I sit here feeling that I need to help, wishing I could at least remove the dust on the ground.

I am American, I love my country with all it problems.

I end this with a kiss, and hug
and my love to all of you that need it.
Lissa

I woulld like to send out my prayers for all the people who have been touched by this horrible act of violence. This act, carried out by Godless Monsters, was an act meant to affect everyone that enjoys freedom. The US must carry out a dedicated effort to stop this constant threat of terrorism. We must not stop until those responsible are found, and destroyed. Those who carry out these acts will be judged by God at the time of their death. It will be God's decision to have mercy on them, or cast them into the Lake of Fire. We must not judge, however, God has given man dominion on Earth, and acts like this should not be tolerated. Any country that has any tie to terrorism should be included in the wrath of the coalition of freedom loving countries. The message of World Wide peace needs to ring out, even in this time of horrific hate. Until those responsible for such acts are sought out and made to pay the ultimate price, these hateful people will continue to terrorize those who live for freedom and peace. This act of hatred is unprecedented in human history, and the response to those involved should be unprecedented as well. May God bless all who live in freedom, and wish to be safe from the horror of terrorism.

The pain must be unbearable for those who have lost loved ones. Millions of tears are being shed across the globe.

It must be impossible to focus on anything at this time, but if you live in New York, please be aware that the whole Western world is urging you on, and thinking of you.

I write this while my two children sleep. What sort of world are they going to have to make their way in? If God is out there, its time that he makes his presence felt.

New Yorkers - you are in our hearts and our thoughts. Good luck to all of you

I have a brother who was with the special forces for many years. Unfortunately, his wife was due to have their baby at the time of Sadam Hussein's business in Kuwait. As a result, my sister-in-law was induced so my brother could see the baby and be deployed in time. I have no love of how these people upset lives. During Operation Provide Comfort Saddam Hussein scared the Kurdish people up to the mountains with his helecopters and left them to die. My brother and his team were there to help them. Why does America always have to be the ones sticking their necks out. We just had part of our neck cut off!!! I do know that, military families will need support during this, whatever is decided. I have a nephew who is now part of the army and I fear for his safety. I'm sure he's ready and raring to go do what he has been trained for. I am proud to be an American and I am waving my flag and praying for peace to come quickly, whatever it takes!!!

My boyfriend and I live in Bristol, CT and we lose sleep at night due to the devastating reality that has just awakened our country affecting every single American citizen. What hurts us the most aside from this ruthless intrusion to our free country, is the pain, anger, and overwhelming sense of confusion that has swept the minds of our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and neighbors that make up a unified and strong-willed country. We would like to personally tell everyone, and particularly the residents of NYC, as well as those who lost loved ones to the series of collasal disasters, that we are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and should proudly fight to our deaths if need be in defense to what we believe in and who we represent. The pictures that were provided by MSNBC and YAHOO really capture the reality of our lives. There is terror, despair, and anger in the faces of everyone alive who stands near the surreal backdrop of remnants representing this national disaster. For those of us who are alive and have survived this, we need to stand tall and resilient against this attack that has attempted to set us back from existing as a stable country. And for those of you who are alive but have lost a loved one due to this horrific event, please look at all of their pictures and know that these pictures represent the tranquility that they are feeling wherever their souls have been rescued to. They are longer have fear, and neither should we...
If anybody would just like to talk or if people need to get out of the City for awhile, my boyfriend and I are only a few hours away and would like to make ourselves available to those in need. We are not medically certified, but if a volunteer crew would like to bring on board a few more people, we would be so happy to help however we're needed...helping the injured and helping the grieving families and friends. You can reach us at: Sunnie72000@yahoo.com
God Bless

My deepest simpathy to you all, in this terrible day. I cannot find the words to express the great sorrow I feel for all those who lost their loved ones because of a crazy, horrible act.
What could I say? No words come to my mouth, as astonished as I am that this happened.. who could imagine something like this? Who could imagine someone could be that crazy to do something like that? What is life, if we do not respect it?
LET'S NOT BE LIKE THEM.
We, the World, should show them we are not as inhuman as they are. Hope should guide us all. Love, for ourselves and NOT FOR THEM, should be in our hearts. Let them burn in hell alone.

I am scared.
I am thousand miles away from you but would like to be there to help if I could be of help.

God bless you, America.
God belss us all.

Elena
