We are looking for my husband's Aunt...Mary Stanley-a computer analyst with Marsh McLennan-last seen on the 91st floor before the plane hit-Italian, dark hair, some gray, glasses, 5 feet tall, big smile. We live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada so I'm afraid we can't help you with your loved ones, but any information on Mary Stanley would be much appreciated. Thanks

Acting "macho" now may make us feel better, but will it really end terrorism? What makes a terrorist do what they do? Why are they desperate and committed enough to give up their lives? This is not a natural act.

To end terrorism requires that we band together. that we recognize that our destiny is bound with the rest of the world's, that 'no man is an island'.

Let us hope that we can enlist the aid of the world community. Let us hope, as my friend dr. Mark writes:
That we act in a way,
That recognizes we are all one,
That God is one,
That a tribe must cast out, with the mark of Cain,
That person or persons who can no longer live in that tribe,
That the rest may thrive and prosper, together as one.
Blessings to you,
Deb

If you were working that day at Windows please contact me twilson@msn.com There are many of us in the restaurant community that are very worried about Heather and all the others people (30+) who were serving the large banquet that morning.
Deepest Thanks.

To our American friends and neighbors,
I can't get over what I have witnessed over the past few days from the unimaginable devistation to the true determination of the rescue workers. From where I sit in a tiny community in northern Ontario, I feel so very helpless for you. I wish I could do so much for all of you. Right now all I can offer you is a hug and please give one to anybody you may pass on your way.

My heart goes out to all the families and friends
of those lost in Tuesday's tragety. This will be a day that will never been forgotten, therefore you're loved ones will also never be forgotten. We are not able to be with you in person but we are all here for you in spirit and in prayer. May God give you comfort and keep the rest of the U.S. safe.

!!!GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

LOTS OF LOVE,
Susan from Illinois

On December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked the American fleet at Pearl Harbor. Taking the Americans by surprise 19 ships were sunk and about 2,400 American soldiers and sailors were killed. Four years later, on August 6 and August 9, 1945 the Americans would take the Japanese by surprise by destroying the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with two atomic bombs. The attack on Pearl Harbor four years earlier was one of the justifications President Truman gave for his decision. Over 240,000 Japanese civilians died--the attack on Pearl Harbor was returned 100 times over.

America needs to make a point. We need to hit them so hard, so violently, and so brutally that everyone on the planet shudders. Terrorism is BS. If they don't want to live in the 21st century in peace, we need to take them out or bomb them back to the stone age. I say we start carpet bombing Afghanistan until every building is dust, and the desert turns to glass. Would anyone really miss Afghanistan??? I didn't think so. It's pretty tough to be a terrorist if you only have sticks and stones.

Osama bin Dover... here comes our revenge 100x worse.

After these several days of shock and disbelief turning to anger, which is more controled and focused now, I have decided that a vicious military response, though warranted, should be delayed.

While talking about and mobilizing for strikes, the immediate action should be, and probably is, a quiet and covert rolling up of ALL known and suspected terrorist networks until that tree bears no more fruit. Cooperation among the world's intelligence agencies should yeild many active and trained terrorists and their abettors. These people have to be captured now, before they can submerge and then retaliate after we capture or kill Bin Laden and his trainers.

If we overtly "go to war" against these fanatics, those who are still out there "in the cold" may well wreak more havoc, possibly on a grander scale, if that is conceivable, once we take action in Asia.

FIND A LOVED ONE

Please avoid contacting New York City's 911 emergency telephone system to seek information about missing persons. The City has established a hotline at 212-560-2730 for individuals who believe their loved ones to be hospitalized patients. This hotline is NOT accepting calls from individuals offering to volunteer or make donations of supplies.

An alternative to calling the hotline is to visit the Patient Locator System to see if your loved one has been treated at a hospital in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.

PRIMARY ACTIVE HOTLINES:

NYC Patient Information: (212) 560-2730
NYC Police Department Employees: (718) 677-8238
NYC Firefighters: (718) 999-2541
Bulk supply donations: New York State Emergency Management Office (800) 801-8092
Navy Personnel: (877) 663-6772
Army Personnel: (800) 984-8523
American Airlines: (800) 245-0999
United Airlines: (800) 932-8555
