KOSOVO DECLARATION OF INDEPENDANCE

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience has shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of Kosovo; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present President of Yugoslavia is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over Kosovo. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.


He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; Kosovo remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of Kosovo; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of Kosovo:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Kosovo to be tried for pretended offences

For abolishing the free System of Yugoslavian Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into Kosovo:

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our resources, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Serbians, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A President whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our neighbors. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the Kosovo Liberation Army, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of Kosovo, solemnly publish and declare, That Kosovo is, and of Right ought to be a Free and Independent Nation; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to Yugoslavia, and that all political connection between them and the Nation of Yugoslavia, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as a Free and Independent Nation, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Nations may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

And soon.
One nation can not have and will not have two countries when Palestinians don't even have one.
Let's give Kosovo to them. Better to them than toAlbanians.

Yes that is the answer and I am sticking to it. Strategical importance as geographical position.
With a military base in Serbia you can reach Europe, Middle East and Asia. What more does one want? Plus, in case of the show down with Russia Serbia is the only country in Europe Russia can use as a military base. That would be a big minus for America.
You might have weapons and all the murder machinary but in the end this war will be won on the ground. Not won by America, that's for sure.

Geneva -- UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has proposed a five point plan to end the conflict in Kosovo.


Following is the UN text:

9 April 1999

SECRETARY-GENERAL OFFERS CONDITIONS TO END HOSTILITIES IN KOSOVO

Following is the statement on Kosovo by Secretary-General Kofi Annan, as delivered today in Geneva:

I am deeply distressed by the tragedy taking place in Kosovo and in the region, which must be brought to an end. The suffering of innocent civilians should not be further prolonged. In this spirit, I urgently call upon the Yugoslav authorities to undertake the following commitments:

-- first, to end immediately the campaign of intimidation and expulsion of the civilian population;

-- two, to cease all activities of military and paramilitary forces in Kosovo and to withdraw these forces;

-- three, to accept unconditionally the return of refugees and displaced persons to their homes;

-- four, to accept the deployment of an international military force to ensure a secure environment for the return of the refugees and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid; and

-- finally, to permit the international community to verify compliance with these undertakings.

Upon the acceptance by the Yugoslav authorities of these conditions, I urge the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance to suspend immediately the air bombardments upon the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Ultimately, the cessation of hostilities I propose is a prelude to a lasting political solution to the crisis, which can only be achieved through diplomacy. In this context, I would urge the resumption of talks on Kosovo among all parties concerned at the earliest possible moment.

That's the problems with MAJA's arguments. SHe refuses to look at all sides and everything is a lie unless it agrees with her ideas. But you must remember, she is still young and when I was her age I acted the same way.
Maja is very intelligent and a lot of her arguments have merit that need to be considered.

Everything is not so black and white.

you where in a sence winning my sympathy but there a few things that are disgusting to me.The way you seem to enjoy war.And that hate you put on our plate.

Anger,powerless etc feelings yes i can imagine.

Wasn't it you who told me how sorry you where for me and that HATE was no solution.Maja i don;t hate infact as i said before i try to do usefull things with my anger etc.

Wasnt it you also who did not like hearsay?
Now your using it yourself.

You said you never been in a war and that you where so thankfull for that.If so show it!

Then you also know that Kosovar(province) which is now Serbian was from Albania all along .Only 2 times the Serbian army took it from Albania.

Remember otherwise look it up.

HYPOCRISY - TELECOMMUNICATIONS DURING WARS

NATO is currently destroying TV transmitters in Yugoslavia under the
excuse that they are used for military purposes.

However, NATO has not even touched the Yugoslav telecommunications
system (PTT) - no telephone exchanges have been targeted and even a
huge, visible, easy target such as a set of satellite earth stations in
Ivanica, 250 km south of Belgrade, has not been targeted. All
telephony links within and outside of Yugoslavia are working perfectly.
Further, the number of international lines to Yugoslavia has increased
over the last two weeks, due to a ten-fold increase in the traffic. It
was never so easy to get a connection.

The public telco system is more likely to be used by the military (for non-secure military communications) than the TV.

So, why has the TV been targeted whilst the telephone system is working
so well, and even better?????

Very simple - the TV is owned by the Yugoslavs and their government, whilst the telecommunication system is 49% owned by an Italian telecommunications company!!!!!

Whilst NATO is sending bombers on Yugoslavia from its Italian bases, Italian business is happily making a good profit by selling telco services to the worried families of Albanians and Serbs who live overseas.

AND THE BUCK KEEPS SPINNING

I wrote it myself, it wasn't difficult.

All the others:

The NATO forces have gone one step further in their information war. They have enrolled Brian ATTWOOD, the Chairman Executive Officer of the US Humanitarian Relief Agency. This man said: "There is no question Kosovar Albanians-refugees-are being used as human shields by Yugoslav forces". CNN is currently reporting this information, adding that Mr ATTWOOD was holding evidence of mass killings and rapes committed by Yugoslav forces.

I now have no doubt of the following:

-These allegations are ludicrous and unfounded
-This is another cheap trick to fuel NATO propaganda against Serbs
-The reports mentioned by Attwood are not available for viewing, nor will they be at any time in the future because they do not exist
-The sources of these allegations probably stem from Albanian separatists, or refugees strongly convinced by said separatists to speak against Serbs.

Therefore I ACCUSE MR ATTWOOD OF BEING BRIBED BY NATO COMMANDING FORCES IN ORDER TO ADD ANOTHER NAIL TO THE YUGOSLAV POPULATION'S COFFIN.

Mr Attwood is not running a big risk in this endeavour. Assuming he was ever challenged, he would get away from it just like that:"Hey, Sorry. I was told by people suffering, so I believed them".

Of all the so called massacre reports and rape, loot and pillage allegedly committed by Yugoslav forces, we have yet to see confirmation.

Yugoslav forces are way too busy fighting with KLA terrorists, Osama Bin Laden's 500 recent recruits, Albanian border post kamikazes, the ingerence of NATO Mexican soldiers, NATO bombardment and their Propaganda war to allocate 5 minutes towards committing the crimes they are injustly accused of.

NATO is getting desperate, this can be seen by the size of each new lie witnessed throughout this infamy.

The end of this sham is near.

sounds to me like you are a Russian yourself. Anyway, you don't need to sell us on Russia. You can say whatever you want..but, America and Nato togeather will win this war and for the right reason.......the albanian children and mothers and old people and babies!!!! Good job NATO!!
