Let's stop thinking of ourselves and start thinking of all these children we've put in the middle of this crisis!

Good Morning
Have A Nice Day.

My day has not yet started
Sunce comes out 6 hours earlier
in your side of the World.
It comes out real early
in the eastern part of Holland.

Pay attention -
the network indicates that
the "Mexican Soldiers"
may be in the same city
as you are
and that they are not Dutch.

Do you want to suggest a change of vennue?
A different site where we can keep in touch?
This board is not meant for our "small talk".
If you have a site of preference,
send it to me per fax (it's on my business card).

I'll check-in here in 8 hours.

Tot zo.

These are indeed turbulent times. We stand collectively on the precipice of disaster, swords drawn and sharp. The abyss beckons as Ares fans its blood-red flames and chargers of the damned ride angry-maned, and screaming breathless roars. Some find solace in the cold, wet murk of yesterday; others take pride in God and helpful ways; more still quibble and point, heaping past with newborn shame. But aye, sojourner, the truth has many ways. And the time-worn Sage inside of Man reveals: the answer lies in cooking -
We'll start off with a nice sauce piquante with margaritas for everyone, but we're gonna need some meat as a base. Hmmm, meat...meat, meat, meat...I know! - the refugees! 'Two Birds with One Stone', anyone? It's the chef's specialty! We'll have them go slowly, 'cuz to overeat would have extreme consequences if you know what I mean. No, we'll start 'em off slowly - just some thin strips off the backs of their calves...meatier portions from the buttocks and thighs of course, but still being careful not to overdo. Eventually they can get around to carving chunks from their shoulders and backs, but we must remind them to always use a spotter because the back is hard to see. We'll marinate the thicker slabs in a rosemary vinegraitte, and serve it atop a bed of delicate angel-hair pasta...Now, I know what you're thinking as you sit there reading this, and I'm sensitive to your complaint: where the hell are we gonna find pasta in a mess like this? Well, hear me out. I propose we cut the living entrails from the sick and dying, slice 'em up into thin strips, and pass it off as Italian. This solution has a double advantage: first of all, we get pasta; second, we can use the emptied body cavities as receptacles for waste, human or otherwise. Once filled, the bloated cadavers would then be buried, taking with them the accumulated filth and debris of arguably hundreds.
However, we must remind them not to confuse these bodies with the freshly dead (or 'cleansed') - we're trying to prevent the spread of disease, not encourage it. Think about it, at least. Anyway, back to the meat!
Once they've stripped themselves relatively near to the bone, we'll have to move on to organs. Of course, we'll begin with the vestigial ones - I mean, what are we? Cruel? No, indeed not, so first it'll be the appendix. Not very filling, but a great source of protein. Next would come the tonsils, I suppose, with drawn butter and a Beaujolais. If the war hasn't ended by this point, we'll have to move to sterner stuff - these people are hungry. Non-essential organs will be the first in this stage, and it's a good thing too: they make the best soup! Cream of Bile (and don't skimp on the gall-bladder bits)! Prostate Minestrone (although beans and vegetables will be hard to find...unless we're lucky enough to harvest some, half-digested, from the digestive tracts of the newly dead)! And then there's Genital Pudding...mmmmm! Our final alternative is to go after major organs, but only those that come in pairs. You can live with one kidney, so we'll take one of those...lungs?...you only really need one, but they're awfully chewy...we'll smoke them and serve it as jerky. For the really hungry, there's the option of eating one eye. I know, I know, I know...but when you bite it, there's a surprise inside!!
Now don't get me wrong...these are merely stop-gap measures. They won't solve the refugee crisis, but they will lessen the strain on nearby countries until the war has ended and these people have returned to their homes.
I realize this approach probably smacks of "gradualism" to some of you. "Why can't they just eat themselves whole? Why can't they just get it over with?" Well, that's just silly...we're gonna need something to feed all those starving Russians once their loans default!
Well, gotta run, I just ordered a pizza - it oughta taste really good and besides, they give you a free Furby cup with every order and I've almost got them all...

Cosmo, as you have written yourself... Austro Ogria gave Serbia an ultimatum; give in or we will attact you. And still you are saying Serbia started the war? It started the war cause it didn't give in? A perverted reasoning really.

Sara and others, the part about Western journalists. There are Western journalists in Yugoslavia. But not warmongers like Amanpour.
I can think of the many situations when a western journalist can serve as a spy. Let's be realistic.

About cluster bombs that are illegal. One of the guys was called a lier when he stated NATO is using them. Today on the NATO briefing it was said: We are throwing cluster bombs on the army baracs. Since these army baracs are not only army baracs and they are in the middle of the towns,
Kosovo will be a field of deadth for the years to come.

Javier Solana, Brussels, 15.30 CET

I have to repeat and make it clear again we are not in war with Serbian people.

Not close from Nis, only two hours earlier

The bridge is being bombed twice hitting the train killing 9 people and seriously wounded 16. It is said there could be more casulties.

NATO of course regrets it. I am sure that means a lot to the dead, injured and their families.

Maja,

Collateral damage is one thing

ORGANIZED GENOCIDE is something completely different.

Don't try for sympathy.

This attempt was pathetic.

The world has is no sympathy for murderers.

If the world has no sympathy for murderers why is Clinton not in Haag already? Excuse me, but the number of dead civilians has gone over 300. That can be called a mass murder. If they number goes up it will be called an organized genocide.

About worlds sympathy. Media doesn't take any chances. Why didn't they show an interview with the pregnant woman who was burned all over and who's husband and one year old daugher were killed?

I am very sorry. But it is pathetic to excuse a murder with murder. Especially when murders are excused with murders that could have happened.

AMERICA IS USING ALLEGED AND NOT CONFRIMED ATROCITIES AS AN EXCUSE TO PRODUCE REAL ONES FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE.

Plus, a person who commit the first atrocities is called a butcher and leaders of the countries who commit the other atrocities call themselves peace loving people.

Nick,

Everything you say is right, the Serbs can't do anything wrong.

After this is over and independent observers are allowed back in Kosovo you will find that you were wrong and we were right.

I also listened to B-92 before this started, I know why it was shut down, the government wants the people to hear only their propaganda, not the truth.
There are 55 independent television channels in Yugoslavia and they are all REPORTING
THE SAME ATROCITIES COMMITTED BY THE NATO COUNTRIES.
DUH! That's because the government WON'T let them REPORT ANYTHING ELSE.

Prove to us that Slavko Curuvija WASN'T killed.

33% of the Serbs were killed during WW II, they were probably walking around wirh targets pinned on their chest. Smart people!

Also there were many Americans, Poles, Czechs, British, Russians, Turks, Greeks and people from many other countries killed in Europe during WW II. OH! they weren't killed that's NATO propaganda too, only Serbs were killed.

Well I don't believe your Serb propaganda bullshit!

Rosie, I am not budala and Milosevic is not my leader. I am not a Serb. You might be budala's cause you are not using your head. Don't you think the ground troops would be there in the begining is they were not so afraid of casulties. Listen to experts, saying the number could get higher than in Vietnam.

Ed, if the wanted to remove him this was a wrong way to go. His power was not a strong as some people like to think. Now of course Serrbian people are being attacted ( NATO can say it is not at war with the Serbian people, but has already killed 300 civils )of course they will all support their leader. It's pshycology. If they didn't forsee that they are really stupid. And they are also stupid if they didn't think there would be a vendetta against Albanians. Serbs feel they are being murdered because of Albanians. And you can deny America, NATO and KLA are in cahoots.

I was never thinking about Milosevic. Never liked him. But I do like Serbian people and hate what has been done to them. They are demonized by people who have not clue what they are like. And please don't forget much of the power Milosevic has was given to him by west. They demonize him but when they need him they treat him as a king. Don't forget Dayton. They called him a peacemaker.

If they want to punish Milosevic, please, go ahead. Kill him. You won't see me crying. But stop killing innocent people.

Maja,

I'm not saying anything about who started World War I. I'm just saying that people are choosing sides in that region that seem rather familiar, and it's not hard to figure out who is going to be on who's side without even knowing the dispute.

Maja,

No, I'm not saying that, I know that some people are being killed in Serbia by the bombs, that happens. That makes me sad too but the "Butcher of the Balkans" doesn't seem to care.

If the Serbian people were Nato's target, there would be a over a hundred thousand dead now.

What about the Albanian woman that was 9 months pregnant and was forced to leave her home in Kosovo and walk for two days to Albania?
All the people in Kosovo that were killed, forced out of their homes, robbed, beaten by the Serb police and paramilitary units. The Serb leaders don't tell the Serbian people what is happening in Kosovo, and why they are being bombed but they will find out the truth when this is all over.

All I see is NATO this, NATO that.
19 NATO countries just got bored and decided to bomb Serbia for no reason, just to have something to do. I don't think so!

Be aware of Serb lies, fabrications and war propaganda !
