That's pretty much my point. Women not only bring life into this world they often have the sole responsibility of caring for and teaching too. Only in the more industrially advanced societies where the men have a lot of free time do they get involved in nurturing provided their 'machismo' doesn't get in the way.

Politics needs women if for no other reason than to present a refreshing point of view and different perspective. Lord women represent half the intellect of the human race and for the most part they're content with being pushed to the sidelines and marginalized. I just don't understand it.

I've worked with, for, over and under women since the early '70s. Before that I was in a male dominated workplace in a car factory. Every workplace that had an even mix of men and women was far superior to a male-only one with respect to the satisfaction derrived from the work itself and the opportunities to develop healthy and rewarding relationships with both men and women.

The policical arena is no different. It's a workplace too. An opportunity to communicate and work with each other, particularly when 'boneheaded' legislation is being proposed.
