Kim Arx,

You mentioned your friends (refugee twins). I thought they might be the infamous "Bosnian twin sisters" who once dominated this board. They now live in Amsterdam.

>> Don't tell me your knowledge of Holland is limited to windmills, cloggs and those cafes in Amsterdam? <<

Ok. I won't tell you then. :O) :O)

Just kidding! Although I've been to Amsterdam several times, I confess I don't know much about Holland beyond the cafes, bars, and sleazy night life. What can I say? I was much younger and had a much stronger libido in those days. Now I'm older, wiser, and of the opinion that "it's a shame that youth is wasted on the young". Sigh

Also, I don't think the dutch are particularly "nice" people. Their facade of openness and friendliness is similar to Americans. However, below the surface, I think they're a very cold people and have a capacity for cruelty and indifference.

===============

BTW - I warned you about Red Marie. I forgot to mention her religious fanaticism in addition to her Stalinist ideology. After more than a year of her rants and raves in the Cafe, she's no longer interesting. I don't bother to read her posts anymore.

================

BTW - Hey, I am a nice guy!!

"The dutch aren't nice people".

No ,if you look beyond the cloggs and blond pigtails, they are just ordinary Europeans.
I beg to differ, but I went to school there, speak the language and can distinguish between the different social groups. Anyway it says something about this being a yugoslav message board.

Marie!!! At first I ignored her, but she seems to think that as I share the same name as the other Kim, that makes me fair game. Who cares, its fun to watch her squirm.

Anyway what's so great about being nice?:0)

Kosovo's UN-Run Justice Violates Human Rights Law

PRISTINA, Oct 18, 2000 -- (Agence France Presse) Kosovo's UN-run justice system falls short of international standards of human
rights, is often biased against Serb defendants and allows suspects to be detained illegally, according to an OSCE report released
Wednesday.

"We are still a long way from the full implementation of international standards," Rolf Welberts, director for human rights at the
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's Kosovo mission, told reporters.

The damning 89-page document covers the period between February 1 and July 31 during which Kosovo's UN administration was
struggling to set up a fair justice system in a province wracked by ethnic hatred and organized crime.

"In certain circumstances, the authorities in Kosovo are not complying with the applicable law, including international human rights
laws," a summary of the report notes.

"The continuing climate of ethnic conflict impacts on the impartiality of the courts, the report finds clear and compelling evidence of
actual bias by the courts against Kosovo Serb defendants in particular," it adds.

"Persons have been detained by KFOR (Kosovo's NATO-led peacekeeping force) and UNMIK (the UN mission) in violation of domestic
and human rights law," the report says.

Kosovo has been administered by the United Nations since June last year, after a NATO air campaign forced Yugoslav troops to
abandon their war against ethnic Albanian separatists. ((c) 2000 Agence France Presse)

tgsb:

as i said, i saw only one post from 'nalini' but
the asst. moderator listed that person as someone
whose posts would automatically be deleted, so
clearly there had been others...
==
very late, after midnight for you, mum -

the aforementioned asst.moderator took the vote
out of our hands by posting the address himself.

Don't think so, the post with the link has been deleted. I invited Kim G over and to contact my Kim_S email.

They are all mouth on the speaker's board as well, they just like to feel superior!

0217 edt

good morning, daniela,

well, the political room of the serbian cafe,
which we suggested you visit earlier in the week
was shut down wednesday, because it's one nasty,
hateful place.

there is another 'room' there called 'speaker's
corner', which was the more sedate room,
which is now in the process of becoming equally
nasty and hateful.

kolineminalini seems to have been to the cafe
frequently enough to have a bad reputation.

but in the wake of these developments, a new room
has appeared, the underground cafe. and the
[expletive] who sank the one room and seemed
intent on sinking the other are now polluting this
room.

i was impersonated in the latter 2 places
thursday. so am i famous now? [eyeroll]

the fact that i could learn to hate some of them
is depressing. i cant afford to waste energy on
them, and yet...
==
the DMS russ page braces itself for an influx of
the displaced nasties of the SC. huh.
like waiting for a hurricane.

-_-
