Practicaly everytimes there is a conflict, US comes up. They see a weak point and size the occasion to exerce theyr influence, to make allies, drop money, eventualy arms or troops... That's theyr foreign politic.
Russia would prefer in the case of Chechenya that they kept away. ie: "please this time, don't feel oblige to involve yourself."

Bones:"Oh, the story about 1000 Russian paratroopers being surrounded in the southern gourge without backup or supplies is true, I wonder who they're pissed off at the most right now?"

I see you haven't changed your act a bit, my pro-terrorist "friend"..hmm.. Bold statements is defenitely is something that you are great at. The truth is that you are purposely blind to that very truth and no matter how many facts are in front of ya, you won't get yourself cornered and will not accept the obvious. I personally think u just don't like Russians, period. I don't understand WHY ARE YOU HERE??? Defenitely not to learn(I am). Then why? To bark at us?to practice you sarcasm? You defenitely don't reply those pro-Russian remarks that are so logical. Only to aggressive ones. Try to learn instead. That's what this board is for. Not for sarcasm. Not for hate-attacks. Maybe you don't hate, you just can't tollatate an idea of Russians being right about the whole thing. Right? Don't deny - it is obvious..

"...Chechen fighters claimed..." - that goes before the info you've mentioned. But who believes the dogs? And that was the subject of my irony..

"Russia, has a lot of inherited problems like rudiments of communism, crime, etc. "

I would like to add:" ...until the highest political spheres (understand Yelstsin)"
With this war they understand there is no joke anymore. After being corrupted "Vot: Tak!" they see theyr own country and they own security crackling. I hope after that they will be less unconcious.

After that Russia and the UN should help the south sudaneses from prosecution by islamist and slavagist from another age.

Russia should use as much force as they think they need to finish the job. When you are dealing with Muslims and terrorist even if you defeat the rebel soldiers now, in five to ten years the next generation will spring up and you will have the same problem again. The only way to solve the problem long term is to have complete control of the region and destroy the Muslim Religion

Dimitri,

Learn you say. Okay then...tell me why it takes an Army of over 100,000 with heavy weapons and air power to expel say 20,000 terrorists? Russia can find no other way but for a scorced earth policy? If not, where would you draw the line? Do you consider all Chechen's as terrorists? Igor won't say whether he hates all Chechens, terrorists or not.

As far as the truth is concerned, It's obvious. The Russian army will in the end drive the militants from the province, no question, never was in my mind. I didn't realize there was a poll going on and I had to state my side. I hope I satisfied that requirement now.

As far as pro/anti Russian...hmmm...good question. Standing on this side of the "wall" and being in the USAF for years I can say in hindsight that I wouldn't have broken bread with ya but now since the break up of the SU and a more complete understanding of each other I would now. Of course there will still be differences between us but that's to be expected I think, don't you?

American man,

"destroy the Muslim Religion" you say.

I don't believe Timothy McVeigh, an American, was a muslim and he killed 168 Americans. Wanna eradicate the Christians too or was he Catholic? How rich!

The scorced earth policy is what the Russians do when they are in retreat. They seem to have the upper hand in this situation and will not need to use that old military tactic.

McVeigh certainly wasn't Christian. (I am sure you remember the commandment not to kill?) And I am glad there are people like American who don't care if they don't look politically correct enough for everybody. American rules! :o)

Sorry dude but ridding the world of all religions isn't the key. Hell, I'm an agnostic and don't share that view. Interesting, wouldn't you say?
