Militia officers of the Leninsky district of Grozny have prevented a major act of subversion. RIA Novosti learned from a mobile Russian Interior Ministry squad that the militiamen had discovered and rendered harmless a powerful controlled explosive device consisting of 6 kg of TNT.
The device was placed not far from a rather busy road leading to the city market. Specialists believe that the blast, provided it went off, would in the first place hit peaceful people selling prime necessities in the market. Interior Ministry staffers believe that that recent case shows that the bandits will do anything in a bid to destabilise the situation in the republic.
