Do you guys really think they are getting regular monthly wages, as if they were regular units?

Mary,
I'm sorry I haven't responded to any of your posting, I haven't been coming in here much I have been really busy. If I would have noticed a posting from you I would have responded. When I first read you post I thought you were mad at me. I guess I'm also losing my intrest with the board here, it's not as turbulent as it used to be. What happened to all the pricks like Jake and co. that were so fun to toy with. I guess he was kicked off. I wrote someone before (I think it was Kim) that I would rather read the news from the news and not someone's interpretation of the news through a cut and paste. Don't get me wrong though a good debate is always enlightening, but that doesn't happen to much in here. I post my e-mail address for you but then every joker in here would have it. I have a few "stranger e-mail pen pals" and it's really interesting to find out about people especially when they are from other countries. Unfortunatly in this DMN it's usually their bad side. So if you would like and can find a way for me to send you my e-mail address without all these goof balls getting it let me know? Don't worry I'm not some nut, hacker, stalker, psyco, at least that's what they told me when I graduated from prison rehab. Just kiding Ha Ha...

Gonzo,
my point precisely! How can a reporter or any other sourse say: "the guerillas are getting $100 a month, or $500 a day" First off, I would imagine oyur pay would depend on your commander( individual base wage). Secondly, quite often they get "paid" by taking goods and money from numerous legal, semi, and illegal sources (Muslim sponsorship, rubberies, kiddnappings, illegal oil business, etc., etc., etc.)

Russians cautious over reported Chechen offer

Russian officials have reacted cautiously to a reported offer of concessions by a senior official in the Chechen rebel government.

The Chechen vice-president, Vakha Arsanov, in a Russian newspaper interview with the Moscow News is reported to have called for peace talks, saying the status of Chechnya inside Russia would no longer be disputed.

He's also reported to have said that once hostilities have ended, he and President Aslan Maskhadov will resign.

A Kremlin spokesman Sergei Yastrzhembsky described Mr Arsanov's remarks as interesting but said they'd have to be verified first. In Chechnya itself, Russian forces continued the offensive they began on Monday in the southern mountains.

Reports say several Russian soldiers have been killed, but a military spokesman said reports of heavy Russian losses were out of the question.

The Russians say their aircraft and artillery killed sixty-five rebels and obliterated several rebel bases.

Second, don't add robbery to the plagiat. Arabs are authors of the modern mathematics.

Hi stupid. So what you are saying is that the guy who invented, let's say, a self-moving wheelchair, also invented a motor and a wheelchair itself. And why stop there, LET'S SAY HE INVENTED A WHEEL TOO!

In other words, without Hindu numerals and Hindu & Greek math, Arabs would be nowhere.

FRED I believe it was you who was mentioning opposition to Milosovic, well it looks likes it crumbled.I would hardly take notice of them if this is all they can muster

Serbian opposition faces Balkanized
By STEFAN RACIN

BELGRADE, Yugoslavia, May 30 (UPI) -- Serbia's self-styled "united
opposition" to President Slobodan Milosevic appears to be splitting into a
moderate and a radical wing following its disastrous performance at last
Saturday's rally in Belgrade which one leader says may have been the
swansong of the opposition as it is today.

The rally drew an unenthusiastic crowd of 20,000 at the most, although
opposition leaders had said that half a million would force the government
to call early elections on all levels they seek and had hoped for at least
100,000.

Vladan Batic, head of the Christian Democrat Party, has said the
opposition has been ineffective and must mend its ways and agree on a common
strategy and platform.

Batic criticized unspecified opposition parties for failing to articulate
the people's dissatisfaction with the regime and take energetic measures to
protect Serbia's main non-government television station Studio B from
takeover by the authorities. He said the insignificant risk would have been
for the government to impose direct rule on Belgrade.

The major opposition party, The Serbian Renewal Movement, holds a majority
in Belgrade's city council and had controlled Studio B until government
agents seized it two weeks ago with feeble protests from SPO leader Vuk
Draskovic and the public.

Other opposition parties said Tuesday the opposition must break
through the media blockade and that it would propose a general strike in the
country that had to be well prepared.

SPO spokesman Ivan Kovacevic said today the opposition needed no new
strategy and he rejected suggestions from various opposition quarters that
the opposition should paralyze authorities with general civil disobedience
and a blockade of roads and major government and industrial facilities.

"Just imagine switching off power and water supplies to people and stop
garbage removal and later asking them to vote for you. That would be
inhumane and purposeless" Kovacevic said. "Special police would arrest
directors of utility services and direct rule would be clamped down on
Belgrade. Let opposition party leaders and members take part (in a blockade)
with their own cars."
In a snipe at the SPO, which is seen as too soft on the authorities, Batic
said: "It has proved that crumbs from the table of power are more important.
The die is cast. We will either regroup or part company in peace. Enough
with archaic and hackneyed stories! Public opinion must be animated with
concrete actions," Batic said.

He proposed compiling lists of candidates for future elections, something
other leaders demand but the SPO has rejected as premature.

Miodrag Isakov, president of Vojvodina's Reformists, said Tuesday some
opposition leaders had been receiving money from the regime -- and also by
fraud from abroad -- and that funds had been embezzled from municipalities
in which the opposition is in power. He did not name names.

Fred, Do you mean the UN? I don't think Iran joined NATO yet!!!

Igor, in the situation discribed above, who can you believe? It would be easier to believe the side that confirms ones own belief, but is that the truth?

Lord H.- Don't worry, I don't think any less of you.......Even if you don't care about me- sob!!

It looks like this board really needs some direction and facts - So here I give you some Inside Info, but remember you did not hear this from All American!

We are about to witness a war in the M.E. Expect Israel with close tactical support from Turkey to attack various Syrian installations in Lebanon and more importantly inside Syria itself. This will happen only if Assad does not sit down and negotiate a final peace settlement in the comming months. We expect that if no settlement is forthcomming then Mr. Assad will be "removed" in favor of someone of more "pragmatic" standing within his own party.

There you have it kids...enjoy... lol.

I have another juicy one for you kids on Serbia, but you must wait. Santa is goin Deer Hunting. LOL.
