There are a few questions that I want to ask the president of the United States.
1. Why after the airplane is changing it's course it is not being detected and reported to the appropriate government institutions - to the military and the Air Force command?
2. After the first blast why the jet fighters were not sent to protect the NYC and WTC in particular.
3. How did it become possible to hijack four (!) airplanes at once? What kind of security do we have in the airports.
4. Why military and Air Force did not react appropriately and in a timely manor.
5. Our country has the most sophisticated military equipment and the best budgeted Army in the world. Wasn't it possible, having all resources we have, under the same circumstances prevent or at least reduce the damage caused by this act.

These are the questions that I want you to answer mister President.

As for now I think that the President of the United States along with all his security officials and generals should go down to his knees and ask for forgiveness from all those 70,000 or more families of the victims and ignoledge his complete defeat and failure in his main responsibility to protect the lives of his citizens.
Also he should reconsider his foreign policy and pull out from those international affairs that are far away from our home soil and do not represent our immediate national interests and as a matter of fact may endanger the lives of American citizens, knowing that the government is unable to protect them.

This is not the United States fault. This is the act of the terrorists. This has never happened before with this severity. We were just to comfortable that this would never happen in the U.S. I do believe that security at the airports should be tightened a great deal. Instead of people complaining about waiting 2 to 3 hours they should be thankful that we are now taking this security very serious. I hope that this is the way it will be from now on. Everywhere: airports and federal buildings. You never know where these terrorists are lurking, they could be your next door neighbor.

It is always easy to blame the one you may want to find reason to blame...instead of pointing fingures why don't you help in a positive manner...pray...give blood...be a good human being! Mr.Bush is the last person we should be blaming...This terrist plot was being planned years in advance...and our former President didn't have a clue either...no one knew of the destruction that was getting ready to accure...we are going against evil people who don't respect life...we must all learn from this lesson and never let it happen again...God Bless!

I don't know how anyone could blame the president or the military for a civilian activity. The airports are run by civilians, not military. The airports are the ones responsible for reporting any thing out of the ordinary, the first crash was thought to be an accident. The whole thing happened within 1 and 1/2 hours. There was no time to react. The FAA acted as quickly as they could, and I take my hat off to them. Under the circumstances, our country acted as quickly as it could. If you are looking for someone to blame, blame the people that did this and those that support them.

Why not install video cameras on all commerical airplanes

So the pilot and the copilot can see what is going on with passenger and who is at his door----Then they can tell if there is any problems and see if there are any terrorist----In all the other wars the the pilot and the copilot carried guns----why not now---- Then they will have a chance to save the plane and all the passenger

THE DARK SIDE OF FREEDOM

I am a French citizen, who used to be in business with the U.S. during more than 20 years, many of them as a tour leader.
I have visited many states and I have friends in the U.S.A..

After the feelings of horror, rage, and of course compassion for the victims that any democrat around the world feels, time has come for questions.

Everybody agrees to the fact that America will overcome, the only question is how.

America is the land of freedom in many ways, but it has also a dark side. Here are some facts for your consideration :

Freedom of speach : it resulted in hundreds of thousands of radical islamic web sites. Some of them being openly supportive to the terrorists.
In France, inciting to hatred or crimes is illegal.
Does not do the job, but it certainly helps.

Justice : it would be imagineable, in the U.S.A., to see the suspects freed on bail bonds. I doubt in this case it would happen, but the system could allow it (I suppose, I never did anything illegal except for a couple of parking violations).

Immigration : how come that so many kamikaze could openly live in the United States and get pilot training, live a normal life for months and years ?
In my younger years, all I would have dreamed of was a green card.
As a law abiding citizen living from my daily work, a green card was unreacheable because my profession was not specifically needed in the U.S.A..
In 1970 when I started frequent flying to the U.S.A., I needed a visa, which was granted after questionning from the U.S. Consulate. Even if some of the questions asked at the moment seemed ridiculous (like "do you intend to kill the President", I cannot imagine a criminal answering yes !), one had to show a decent background to be given the go-ahead to enter America.

This is not a discrimination speach. As a citizen of France, with about 10% of our population from Arabic origins and a previous experience here of terror acts (1995 was a terrible year), I can imagine the distress you feel in front of these filthy acts.
Nevertheless, most people from Arabic origins behave here, and I have very nice colleagues in this minority.
And I work for an American company with Jewish management !

Police : I am appaled by the fact that the investigations goes swiftly.
Were those people already known from the Police, F.B.I., C.I.A. or other law enforcement agencies ?

If so, the only habeas corpus cannot be a sufficient answer.

To make a long story short, America cannot continue to be the only "firewall" for worldwide freedom.

And I think part of the price to pay will be some restraint to the total freedom Americans love. You will have to trade some freedom for security.

Time has come for a strong reply.

Regards, and keep faith, America will overcome -as usual.

Michel

It looks that the birhtplace of terrorism, is the
u.s.a. and to be more accurate, the rulers of this
country.
Mr. president, who killed all the natives(red skins) and captured their country?
who has been slaughtering the "negros" in this country?
who is getting involved in other countries bussines with the excuse of protecting them from their governments?
who is acting like god?
do you really think that the THREE QUARTERS of this planet are terrorists?
If you really know who are the terrorists why dont you take them? Why do you prefer to kill innocent people and destroy a country insteat of that? This is a prove of weakness and hatered for
other civilizations and caltures.
What is america ( government ) and what has been offering to the world except hatred and excuse for people to fight?
I am sure you recognise beyond any reasonable doubt that the present "high technology and economy"
was created by the hard working immigrants, who have nothing to do with americas "culture".
It is very sad to see a president of a country who believes to be the strongest on this planet
to act like kids playing video games and getting satisfied by killing people to prove their power.
Just think of the pain you (americans) caused to so may innocent people around the world.
I believe that all these actions were taken by others ( groups in the government who like to see
the world and people "recognise " them as been the
gods and "owneers of this planet. It is very well known that in countries like yours the president acts as he is told to and has no opinion whatsoever- regardless the myth of freedom and democracy.
I wish the citisens of the u.s.a. will soon come to the point of individual thinking and opinion
and not the fixed news from all the controlled media.
God bless the innocent victims of the act of those insane individuals rulling the u.s.a.
May the rest of the world dare to stand against
them.

for their freedom.

AIRLINE SAFETY

Why are the passengers bearing the burden that airlines are unable to provide safe air transportation ?

I have a suggestion that might be tough to put into acts, but let's dream :

Aircrafts could have a self-contained cockpit.

Imagine the cockpit totally isolated from the passengers cabin.

Separate entrance, wider area to allow rest for the pilots, with a stewardess dedicated to take care of the pilots, and a self-contained kitchen.
Only the flight crew would have to be checked by security.

No door or communication with the cabin.

Possibly a way to send sleeping gas to the passenger cabin in case it would be taken in hostage.

And we would go back to the curb check-in and late check-in we love...

It would need some body work from Boeing and Airbus, and cost some seats to make room.

Is it possible ? I do not know, it's just an idea...

Terrorism & Moderates.

When American forces landed in Vietnam..they said its their interest to contain communism. When they hit Afghanistan, its against terrorism. BUT, when the President of USA chatters to attack IRAQ. what are now the Administration want to do.

Talks about moderation, does that mean countries other than the rich or the superpower cannot/must not arms themselves to the teeth.

Today is Sept 11 anniversary. ABC, CNN, Channel NewsAsia, engrossed millions around the globe with "SAD" reports, whilst victims of HIROSHIMA, NAGASAKI(AMERICAN ATOMIC BOMB), PALESTINIAN butchered by Israeli, The Bosnian Muslim,...why there is no such rememberance.

WHY this so...ARE AMERICAN life worth more than an African or Asian life.

The British Empire sank after WW2. The World have to learn from history.

Are the AMERICAN & BRITISH wants to be the NEW MILLINEUM COLONIST ?.

So how American public judge their President and the British their PM to all this events that affect their lives. Are their culture be proud of, when their son join the military, send oversea to kill an African, Afghan, Asian for the price their leaders said DEMOCRACY.

Confucious - a Chinese sage once said, don't complain the snow on your neighbour rooftop, while your own yard is unclean.

It is cause by the American that "REFUGE" we dispose off becomes "REFUGEE" they term human whom they displaced caused by their
Government "interest".

I don't see valid reasons, why 911 becomes world icon. Did the Japanese call the whole world to share their grief to the ATOMIC BOMB victims.

So how we define TERRORISM & MODERATION. By this event, there are two party involved...One is
GANGSTERISM AND EXTORTION for the victor. TERRORISM & MODERATION for the victim.

IS THAT WHAT AMERICAN & BRITISH PROUD OFF!!!!.
