I am trying to locate Phillip and Hsiao-Mi Fedorchak, of the Golcuk area. If anyone has made contact with them, or knows their present whereabouts, please contact me please. Any information that you are able to provide, would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

We are still searching for our cousin, Philip Fedorchak and his wife, Hsioa-Mi. Their last known address was an apartment in Golchuk overlooking the Sea of Mamara. He was last heard from the Sunday before the earthquake. He was working on ships for the Gibbs & Cox company. Anyone with any information, please email me at ballard@mediaone.net. His parents and children and the rest of our family are deeply concerned.
Thank you and my prayers go out to all who have lost someone in this devestation.

I am seeking news about a friend in Istanbul, Gulcin Acemi Albayrak. She went to high school with me in Denver, Colorado (USA) many years ago. My heart goes out to everyone in Turkey...

I survived the 1994 Northridge earthquake, but my fiance died in a flood... so I have some sense of the sorrow that the people of Turkey are experiencing. You are all brave, and you will re-build your lives. With love from America...

Hi everybody!

Every of us must deeply think on this disaster which resembles the end of the world.More than 10 thousand people died and 250.000 remained homeless. Not only to explain this disaster with the thesis that Turkey is a country of earthquakes but we have to see that in Turkey, a country of which the majority is muslim, first time, Qur'an education is banned with a law, and religious high schools and Qur'an education centres were obstructed and shut, university students with scarf and beard are not let to make their studies.Sincerely to say, these events called the disaster. There is no explanation beyond because Allah says" a time will come and people will wake up with a very terrifying voice and you see people as if they are drunk but they are not. This is a disaster from Allah to warn them because they exceeded the limits of Allah. No more to say to any who can see but not look at.

This is why,we muslims explain events not only with material but with moral and transcendental reasons. We believe that even a tiny particle can not move independent of Allah.

This is the lesson to take.

Regards to all who helped the victims of this earthquake which is a bitter warning of Allah.

May Allah keep us right!

Very Important!!!!!!

Thank to everyone who cares, worry and help Turkish people. I'm a journalist from Istanbul who works for the newspaper called Milliyet. We are preparing a special supplemant which is gonna come out on Sunday. I"m gonna take all of your messages to our specual issue. And gonna try to make you find your relatives and friends. We're going to try to publish all of your e-mail adresses, name of the relatives and messages. So If you still didn't send your messages be quick.
I also want to say that ýn Istanbul except for Avcýlar and Yalova districts nothing has happened.
But Golcuk, Yalova, Ýzmit and Sakarya nearly disappered from the map. It's normal that you cant find your friends or relatives in these districts because in this moment there's no electricity and phone in the area.
My e-mail is mefaret@yahoo.com

Thanks to everyone
