Hurricane Keith's fierce winds blasted Belize's delicate reef islands on Sunday(10-1-00), sending palm trees flying, and the edges of the storm dumped bands of heavy rain as far south as Nicaragua.

Waiting for news from Caye Caulker. I know as Saturday(sept 29) around 4pm Belize time the Police Station had not yet given orders for evacuation.As 6am on Sanday I call and got through but my friend didn't respond or the answer machine(what that means no eletricid). Please if you know if Cauye Caulker has been evacuated let me know. Thanks. Marina.

What an awful ending to the September celebrations...if anybody knows about any clean-up operations or rebuilding projects on the less affluent island of Caye Caulker I would be willing to help as much as I possibly can...God Bless...
