Gonzo,
getting tired of this bull. You're simply trying to look goody-goody in international eyes. The bombing to say the very least was unnesessary..in my language it is an unjustified mass murder commited in order not to risk lives couple of thousands of less than competent Gi joes. It's their job to risk their live and not the lives of women and children. Enough hypocricy, already, if it was your mother who died there, you'd be singing a different song. I have a site for you to check..not that I expect you to come clean after reading it..

Kim,
Don't get me wrong in what I'm posting here. I completely understand were you are coming from. I probably didn't get it across that I try to take an un-biased stance on anyones side. I like to review all the facts before spouting off. Again maybe I didn't express this. What I try to do is read the news from both sides of the fence and and come up with some deductive reasoning, unfortunatly the serbs come out on the bottom. Also I don't think I stated the the US and the western powers are the almighty saviors, each government has it's faults, but I think their intentions were in the right place. As for the insults that's just the child in me...

No,I believe that the intentions that ordinary folks thought they had were in the right place.
As to what their true intentions were, ah well, opinion varies across the spectrum.

As I was trying to say earlier, its hard to remain unbiased in this one, as we represent the "Big Bad West" and therefore by default "agree" with what is being done on our behalf. Regardless of the fact that we had about as much say in the yugoslavian conflict as ordinary Serbs had. (Or as much say as Igor in Chechnia.)

Kim,
Now not to argue with you do you really percieve the west as bad? Does my lifestyle/your lifestyle directly effect these small countries with corrupt governments? We have it pretty good and I hope and maybe you do to that they could free and happy lives like us. Let's say you had power to stop the slaughter of inocent women and children (debatable), "the shooting of young children", even though you would be labled as the bad guy, even though inocent people would killed. Yet through all of this you would stop the destabilization of the balkan nations, stop a corrupt regime (debatable)from gaining control of the whole area! I hope this didn't come out wrong because I hold your opinion in the highest of regards, just asking...

Lovely! Considering the fact that all victories, scored by allies (excluding Soviets), were achieved at a disadvantage in numbers and, also, taking into account military effectiveness of the allied troops…. God bless "less than competent Gi joes"!

There is a lot of history rewriting on the left side with regards to atomic bombing of Japan that ended the war. At the moment, however, even Soviet Union fully supported that action. There are no doubts that invasion of Japan would cost not just a couple of thousands, but a couple of hundreds of thousands lives of allied troops and many more on Japanese side. Germans lost more than 3 millions on western front (allies - about 200 thousands).

I take, your mother did not died in Hiroshima, too. Also, your father (or other relative), I assume, was not at risk to senselessly die invading Japanese Islands. He, probably, was dying attacking some target in order to take it just in time for some pompous Red October Day or something.

Regarding Cuba. You probably do not know, but Fidel back than attempted to bypass Soviet command in Moscow and force base personnel to launch nuclear missiles on US right when Ambassador Dobrynin and Bobby Kennedy were resolving the situation. As far as I know, since then Russian generals are no is Fidel's friends.

Fidel, Saddam, is this the kind of world leaders that is Ok, in your opinion, to have nuclear, chem or bio weaponry?
