We need a rallying cry to support the US economy and help with the relief. Let the President do his job of leading the country and international coalition to wipe out terrorism. The US has at least 200 million people. If everyone donates $500, we will have $100 billion. Ok, not everyone can donate $500 (I already did and will do more). But some can donate a lot more and some a lot less. If you don't donate, go out and spend some money. Buy something (stocks, car, house, vacation, watch 10 movies, whatever). I am not even a citizen (but will become one soon) and I have donated money to Red Cross, Sep-11 fund, buying a house, remodeling etc. I wanted very much to hold back my spending and scared to death of the recession. But I can afford it and I am doing my part. Email all your friends and families. Post it on other message board and ask everyone else to do the same. Donate blood and money. Go out and spend money! Damn it!

Last year my 4 yr old daughter asked me why her pre school teacher told her she could not say Grace out loud before lunch time. That was the hardest explanation I think I have ever had to give. Because I couldn't give her a good reason.
We have allowed the government to remove prayer from our schools and now when we have a disaster, the WTC, the first thing our government does is turn to GOD! We should think again before making decisions like removing prayer from our childrens daily life. The children of America were short changed when it comes to "Freedom of Speech". They should be allowed to give thanks for whatever their innocent hearts are willing to give.
Our family has cried and felt the pain for the families who have lost loved ones. We pray for each and every one of you.
We need to beg the US Government to please reconsider removing prayer from our childrens school. This country asks for help from God only when we need him.We need him in our lives to protect our children when they are not in our arms, when we cannot protect them each day.
God Bless each and all of you.
A mother of four.

To Another American.
I like context. Context is good. Yes the Shah of Iran was corrupt and had many political opponents tortured and murdered, and yes the US supported his regime. As i'm sure you know, Iran was neighbour to the former USSR, and a valuable bulkhead against communism, and the cold war fight against Soviet desire to expand into the Middle East took precedence over whether the Shah was a greedy dictator (he was). Yes the US supported and funded Saddam Hussein post 1979. This was because the Shah had been overthrown in Iran, and the new leader Ayatollah Khomeini had immediately both declared enmity with America and began tentative links with Moscow. Obviously a new bulwark against communism was needed, thus Saddam began to enjoy increased American patronage. Did America greenlight Kurdish biochemical massacre ? I fear that is an assumption on your part, I can't see it myself. Saddam did not ask anybody's permission, it just suited him to do it. If he needed US permission to go ahead with his evil plans how do you explain the invasion of Kuwait, we all know US did not approve of that little Iraqi vacation. We can only conclude that Saddam did what he wanted, when he wanted, including massacre of Kurds. Now we know why US funded these terrible men (and others) the big question is was US right to do so. As the memory of the Cold War and Communism begins to fade for us here in the West, we should remind ourselves just how evil it was, and the threat the Soviets presented to freedom and world peace. The US did what was necessary to save the world from communism, and the world should be grateful. Let there be no doubt about that.

Re: Saladdin. Yes he killed Christians, but on the battlefield. After he retook Constantinople from Christian control, he ordered that no Christians be murdered (slaughter of the defeated was common in those days ) and that Christians should be allowed to practice their faith openly. The word is tolerance. This was after The Crusaders had slaughtered thousands of muslims when they were victorious in the First Crusade. So I do believe he would spit on today's Islamic terrorists. And then kill them.

God bless America. The Land Of The Free.

Dear Americans and all,

American seems to have a leader of the future.

I hope that he can work with the Muslim countries and the world to suppress any evil acts in the best possible way and move towards world peace and true happiness for all human beings.

I salute him for the right action that he has taken as below. I hope that he watches his speeches and remind himself not to be arrogance.

God bless the Americans.
Allah bless the Muslims.
We respect each other and ask for peace.

Bush slams anti-Muslim attacks in US.

WASHINGTON - US President George W. Bush has sternly denounced violence against Muslims in America, saying those exacting misguided vengeance for last week's terror strikes on Washington and New York represent 'the worst of humankind'.

'Those who feel like they can intimidate our fellow citizens to take out their anger don't represent the best of America. They represent the worst of humankind, and they should be ashamed,' he said at an Islamic centre here on Monday.
'In our anger and emotion, our fellow Americans must treat each other with respect. Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear covering must not be intimidated in America. That's not the America I know; that's not the America I value.'

Observing Muslim custom, Mr Bush, his aides and reporters removed their shoes before entering the Islamic centre, 3.2 km from the White House.
He also read a passage from the Quran: 'In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil.'

Mr Bush took pains to separate the suspected authors of history's worst terrorist attack from Muslims as a whole, declaring: 'The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam... Islam is peace. These terrorists don't represent peace, they represent evil and war.'

He added that millions of Americans - doctors, lawyers, shopkeepers, parents - were Muslims and they make 'an incredibly valuable contribution to our country'.

He said even though they were angry over last week's terrorist attacks, Americans must treat each other with respect.

I really do love the Americans. The policy of their majority is to go and bomb the crap out of anybody. But when somebody comes and craps on them, boy, the fuss they make.
If it's too hot in the kitchen guys, then stay out of the kitchen.

I'm Tommy, from Rome (Italy)
I'm very sad for the tragedy that hit New York, all Usa and the entire "civil" world and his people.
I'havent any parent or any friend in N.Y but this is not important: any people is like another in the tragedy, and any people attacked is a brother to support with love.

So... To this people, my brothers and sisters, goes all my love and my pray: god bless you all

Love and Peace

Tommy

p.s.: sorry for my english not very correct

Not all Americans want to blow any country off the map. There are those of us who are willing to admit that we have committed crimes against humanity as well! Terrorism is NEVER okay; not one country deserves it. What happened here last week was horrific and unforgivable. But that does not give us the right to harm Arab/Muslim Americans or start bombing away! To be honest, I am most fearful of our current administration! Mr. Bush is getting exactly what he wanted all along: a war. And we have no one to blame but ourselves. I am begging the rest of the world to understand that there are Americans who are terrified at what he (Bush) will do. I am still waiting for word on a friend of mine who worked at the WTC. Peace. ...ZOE

To All British

Thank you for your many kind words of condolences during this difficult time. Thank you for being among our allies who are willing to stand beside us.
We know that many of your people are also among the missing. Last I heard that number was around 500. We, too, express our sympathy to your country.
Indeed, last I heard there are 62 countries that lost people at the WTC. And although the focus is on America mainly they too will not be forgotten.

God Bless
